Based on examples made of wood and cardboard I'd seen all over the internet, I thought I could make a version out of acrylic. I had to create all the plans from scratch - so consequently, everything didn't work out quite as cleanly as I would have liked. Plus, my plans were to integrate an arduino-based stepper motor, but alas, it didn't have the necessary torque. So I had to make it manually cranked... It's not horrible, but not exactly like I imagined.  |
